Another MDS Card

My baby brother turned 40 this last tuesday so this is the card I made for him. I find it hard to come up with masculine cards but I think this turned out ok! What do you think?

Sorry I have gone so long!!

Here is another Christmas card I did with My Digital Studio! Sorry I have been gone so long. Between Alex starting basketball and three craft fairs + fighting the nasty colds and flu's going around I have not been online much to update this blog. But I promise to be better from now on. We have one more Craft show to do but I am just using inventory that I already have to try to
clean it all up. I will post pictures later today of stuff I made for the last two craft shows. Enjoy the card. Ta! for now.

Classic Christmas Card

This card uses Chocolate Chip, Ruby Red and Natural Cardstock
I used soft suede stamped off once to creat the background and used ruby red for the Merry Christmas and the wreath and chocolate chip for the sleigh. I also used the ticket corner punch on the top layers and the scalloped oval and the large oval on the Merry Christmas. I also finally got the hang of my Stamp A Ma Jig. Now I use it all the time. I hope you enjoy the card.
Happy Stamping

Digital Card

I did this card in My Digital Studio and it should be coming today from the professional printer that Stampin Up has contracted for us to use to get your, albums, calendars, and cards printed in perfect color match. When I receive the actual card I will post a side by side so you can see the results of a professionally printed card and the Jpeg image. Another thing that is neat with this program is that if you have the materials you can duplicate this card with cardstock and ink using this layout you created first in MDS to see how it would turn out before you waste paper coming up with the design and layout first. How neat is that.

Another MDS Card

I was playing around last night in My Digital Studio and I came up with this christmas card.
The really neat thing about this software is that you can design a card before you actually put it to paper to see if what you were thinking will translate to paper the way were thinking it would.
This card is the 6x6 square template and uses Kraft, Brocade Blue, & Very Vanilla Cardstock
The Medallion Background Stamp stamped in Old Olive ink set to about 35% opacity, The Dec25th is from the Winter Post Stamp Set
It also uses the vanilla hardware hodgepodge and brads and the snowflake punch & circle punch with the old olive script desinger paper and a blue brad.
All of these features are included with the Software for My Digital Studio
which is cool because I don't own the Winter Post Stamp Set or any vanilla hardware.

Another Christmas Card For You!

The lighting on this card is not the greatest. But here are the supplies I used:

Real Red & Whisper White Card stock

Holiday Cocoa Speciality Paper (from holiday mini)

The eyelet scallop edge punch

The Ornament Punch (from the holiday mini)

Delightful Decorations stamp set (from the holiday mini)

I mixed a few drops of real red re-inker with the shimmer frost white paint from the holiday mini together and then sponge daubed the tinted paint directly onto the stamp to create a shimmering effect.

Stamped one ornament twice and punched out put about 2" of gold elastic cord on the back for the "hook" and mounted them with dimensionals to make them pop up.

Thanks for looking!

Joseph's Techincolor Coat Tech.

This card was made with Bermuda Bay, Sarah Sand and Glossy White Cardstock
First I ran the Bermuda Bay through the big shot using a texure plate from the Stampin Up Backgrounds set to a little texture to the base card.
Then I ran the sahara sand and the glossy white through the big shot using the Top Note Die and trimmed around the dotted line edge of the glossy to create a perfect layer.
Next I stamped in various light colors images from the petal pizzaz stamp set.
Then using the the largest image I stamped that in the middle with versamark and embossed it with clear embossing powder.
Then I brayered Chocolate Chip Classic ink over the entire piece and wiped off the excess with a tissue and what was left showed the multi colors under the clear embossed image.
Then I stamped the leaves and punched out the middle of another image and popped them up with dimensionals.
This did come out darker then I intended the result was still neat.
I hope you like the card.

First Project Done For Craft Fair! Yeah!!

This is a gift card/ money holder I made for the two craft fairs I am in, the box is a retired supply box stampin up used to sell in the extra small size. I covered the top and inside with some DSP from the Holiday Mini - Christmas Cocoa Specialty Paper - (116770) This pack of paper also has a flock paper in the pack - watch for a card I made with the flocked paper. The ornaments on the top are from the Delightful Decorations Stamp set - (116517) and then punched out with the New Ornament Punch (116794). One ornament is in Real Red the other is in the new In-Color Bermuda Bay you can't tell but I added a little dazzling diamonds on the center of the ornament with the snowflake pattern and used some whisper white organza ribbon to wrap around it. I am going to fill them with candy also before I sell them. Hope you enjoyed.
Watch for a project I did with the Thoroughly Modern File Folders next!

My Favorite So Far!!

This card was made with:
Old Olive card stock as the base
Whisper White card stock 4 x 5.25 was run through the big shot in the Petals A Plenty Embossing folder sold in our Holiday Mini using a technique I saw on Patty Bennett's Blog and just had to try for myself. If anyone is interested I will post instructions on how to do this later.

Then I sponged Real Red classic ink on the flowers around the frame and then sponged some of our Shimmer Paint in White Frost over the red ink to make it glitter isn't it pretty I was actually able to catch some of the glitter in the picture.
Then I stamped in Old Olive Classic Ink the trees from the hostess set Patterned Pines which you can earn also by hosting an in home class with me (this set is an exclusive hostess set in the holiday mini)
I then added some silver elastic cord which is also in the Holiday Mini and then mounted the whole thing to the Old Olive base.. I hope you enjoy this card also!!
If you want to make one just like it email me and we can set up a hostess party or you can order the supplies for yourself.

Have a great day!!!

WOW!! Check out the new clearance section Stampin Up is Offering!!

Hey everyone! I am so excited about this new area of my demo website www.stampinmari.stampinup.net I had to shout it out immediately!

Stampin’ Up has started a clearance section with steeply discounted retired products! Go check it out pronto and see if you can score some of your old favorite colors, embellishments and accessories! I just placed a big order and got tons of stuff dirt cheap—some of it is 80% off—no kidding that’s not a typo!

This order must be placed through my shopping website—not through me personally. Here’s a couple of FAQ to help you figure out how this works. Happy shopping!!!

Q: Why does the order have to be placed online?
A: Because the products are only available while supplies last and may sell out at any time.

Q: Is the Clearance Rack a time-sensitive promotion?
A: The new Clearance Rack is to be a permanent part of the online store.

Q: How often will the Clearance Rack be updated with new items?
A: Clearance Rack items will be posted and removed based on inventory levels. Because there is no set schedule you should check back regularly through www.stampinmari.stampinup.net for new postings.

Q: If they run out of a certain item, will SU restock inventory and post it for sale again?
A: No. Clearance Rack items are retired, discontinued items and are only available while supplies last. This is first come, first served—so check regularly for the best deals!

Q: Where can I see a list of available Clearance Rack items?
A: To see the available items, simply visit the online store at www.stampinmari.stampinup.net and click on Shop Now. The Clearance Rack is on the menu. There's a bunch of great stuff in there and more to come. Enjoy your browse and enjoy how easy and simple it is to place an online order any time of the day or night with just a credit card.

Imagine--ordering in your jammies! And you can order right when you think of something you need, instead of trying to remember to call me and having to wait for someone to host a show. If your order qualifies, you can also earn hostess benefits from online order as well. Go check it out today!

The Start of My First Digital Scrapbook!!

Here is the start of the scrapbook I am doing for my daughter Amanda who is a senior this year. My Digital Studio is making it so easy. This is part of one of there pre-loaded scrapbook template that is included in the program. Looks like I am going to have to go back and edit the cover page (the one above - they are shown here in reverse order of the layout) and the second page to see if I can remove the numbers. I am trying to do a 8 x 8 of all her senior pictures that were taken. The first five are shown here and it only took me 1/2 an hour to do! WHOO HOO I am now scrapbooking. Now lets see if I can get both kids albums done before they make me a heaven forbid grandmother LOL!! Ta for now

Embellishments: Whisper White Organza ribbon, White Embossing powder, sponges, Clear circle rhinestone brad

Let me know what you think!!

Another Card from the NEW MDS

I am having so much fun figuring out the new digital software I can't wait for my customers to be able to order it and play for themselves. One great feature is that you get to try stamp sets that maybe you don't have right now or you can use it to design a card before you actually stamp it!! How cool is that!!
